Join us for an exciting fall session with SheCan! This free of cost program is designed to introduce elementary and middle school girls to the world of computer science and engineering. Through a series of engaging and interactive sessions, participants will learn the basics of coding using languages such as Scratch and Python. Our program aims to foster creativity, problem-solving skills, and inspire interest in technology-related fields.
During the program, students will have the opportunity to explore various topics such as website development, mobile app development, game development, artificial intelligence, and more. Each session will be filled with hands-on activities, project-based exercises, and mini team projects. We will also have occasional guest speakers who are accomplished women in the field, sharing their experiences and insights.
The summer program will take place on Mondays after school from 5:15-6:00PM at Common Ground (6806 Southern Ave, Shreveport, LA 71106). No prior coding experience is required, and we welcome girls who are curious and eager to learn. At the end of the program, participants will have the chance to showcase their creativity and accomplishments in a mini project presentation event.
We believe in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where every participant can thrive and discover their potential. Don't miss this opportunity to explore the exciting world of computer science and engineering! Sign up now to secure your spot in the SHECAN Fall session
