2020 Signup Form for the International Coastal Cleanup in Virginia "The Ocean starts at your front door"
The 2020 Virginia Waterways Cleanup is part of the Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup (ICC). All ICC events in Virginia are coordinated by Clean Virginia Waterways of Longwood University.  This year, we are excited to promote statewide cleanups in conjunction with the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay' Project Clean Stream. Learn more: https://www.chesapeakenetwork.org/groups/project-clean-stream/

Please sign up your family or group today using this form and join the global effort to have trash free seas!

SMALL GROUP CLEANUPS THIS YEAR:
The ICC in Virginia WILL be held this fall, BUT all cleanup events will be done with small groups. We will not be promoting large events in 2020. So grab your family, and do a mini-cleanup any day of the week this fall.

DATA COLLECTION: AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE ICC:
Please collect data about the trash you are finding -- your data will be used to help us understand trends and come up with solutions to plastic pollution! You can collect data using paper forms (you can download them) OR you can use the CleanSwell App on your smartphone.
Download data cards and learn about the CleanSwell App here:
        http://www.longwood.edu/cleanva/VolunteerSiteCaptain.html

DATE OF YOUR CLEANUP:
Your mini-cleanup can be held on ANY date between late August and early November. Follow all regulations and hours of operation for beaches and parks.
