Charge North is coordinating a road trip across several communities this August 2022; we’ll be stopping in at local events across central and northern BC, and we’ll be joined by local electric vehicle (EV) drivers. Come say hello! Interested residents and visitors can sign up to test drive an EV.  

Please fill out this form if you would like to take an EV for a spin. Please bring your driver's license to the event.

If you don't want to test drive an EV, you can still stop by and learn more about EV s in Northern and Central BC. Here is the list of events that we will be attending: Events List.

Fast Facts about Charge North and EVs 

  • Charge North is a community-driven, collaborative program building an electric vehicle (EV) network across central and northern BC.  

  • Starting in 2022, Charge North is installing 58 charging stations in 31 communities – from Masset to Valemount and Fort Nelson to Logan Lake. All of these stations will be “Level 2” stations: they add 30-40 kilometres of range per hour of charging. 

  • Electric vehicles are going mainstream in BC. Chances are, you already know someone who drives one.   

  • The best way to learn about electric vehicles is to drive one and to speak to other EV owners. Here is the list of events that we will be attending: Events List.
