2020 IPSF Summer Teacher Application

Thank you for your interest in employment with the Irvine Public Schools Foundation's Summer program. Please review all of the information below prior to applying as some information has changed from previous years.

All applicants are expected to work for the entire session, except in the event of illness or unexpected personal circumstances/hardship. Do not apply if you have conflicting plans or obligations during this time frame.

We will be hiring teachers for the following programs:

Elementary (incoming K-6 students)

Period 1 - 9:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
Period 2 - 12:45 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Session A - 6/11-6/30
Locations: Beacon Park, Brywood, Cypress Village, Eastwood, Oak Creek

Session B - 7/7-7/24
Locations: Beacon Park, Brywood, Cypress Village, Eastwood, Oak Creek

Middle School (incoming 7-8 students)

Period 1 - 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Period 2 - 10:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
Period 3 - 12:45 p.m. - 2:15 p.m.
Period 4* - 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Session A - 6/11-6/30
Locations: Beacon Park*, Lakeside, Rancho San Joaquin

Session B - 7/7-7/24
Locations: Beacon Park*, Lakeside, Rancho San Joaquin

*Beacon Park will host both an elementary and middle school program and will offer limited period 4 options for parents who are interested in a full day of classes.

K-8 Academy (incoming K-8 students)

All day - 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Session A - 6/11 - 6/30
Location: Cadence Park

Cadence Park will continue to host the K-8 Academy program that was piloted in 2019. The schedule will feature a full day of classes with internal rotations amongst teachers every 90 minutes. Students will participate in a variety of disciplines throughout the day (grade prep, sports, STEAM, art, cooking, etc.). Collaboration on curriculum content and schedule by all teachers is key to the success of this program. Teachers will need to be available from at least 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. in order to maintain balanced rotations and offer a well-rounded experience for all students.
