Thank you for your interest in the ARAS Pioneer Teens Summer Art Program!
ARAS is a unique archive of mythological and symbolic images from all over the world.
Our mission is to bring awareness to the power of symbolic images and the profound role they play in our lives today.
ARAS Pioneer Teens is an intensive FREE two-week art program for teens ages 14 - 17 in New York City.
Participants will:
* Create original works of art inspired by universal symbols
* Participate in virtual/in-person field trips to museums or galleries and artists' studios for inspiration
* Learn how to use libraries and archives
* Meet with working artist(s)
* Gain confidence as creative individuals and make lasting connections with teens from different schools
Program dates:
Mon. 7/8 - Fri. 7/19 (5 days a week; 2 weeks)
Monday - Friday from 10 am - 4:00 pm (in-person)
Participants are required to attend ALL program days.
If the program is conducted virtually, all participants are required to put in at least 2 additional hours each day
to work on their art and other projects.
This is a FREE program, with all supplies included!
