ATTENTION, COMMUNITY!
We need your help.
Tonight, as the last item on the agenda, the Board of Trustees for the San Mateo Community College District will be discussing class sizes and guidelines for cancelling classes.
For context, during the pandemic, classes with low enrollment were allowed to operate with a minimum of 10 students. This February, our District Participatory Governance Council even unanimously voted to keep 10 as the minimum.…HOWEVER…Interim Chancellor Dr. Melissa Moreno wants to recommend to the Board that sections with fewer than 20 students can potentially be canceled.
We are asking Dr. Moreno to not cancel classes with at least 10 students enrolled and allow us to learn!
