Social Injustice
When have you felt treated unequally? When did you notice that the color of your skin may have made a difference in how others perceived you or the opportunities available to you?

I Remember When is a first-person storytelling project to share stories from North Liberty. Through this series we hope to inform, inspire and challenge viewers to put themselves in their neighbors' shoes.

The theme of the first series is social injustice.

Think of a crucible moment in your life related to social injustice. What is a crucible moment? It's an experience through which an individual comes to a new or an altered sense of identity. These are times when our character is tested. These are times of adversity where great strength is shown.

Share your story with the City of North Liberty's communications department through this form. If you're comfortable with sharing your experience publicly, let us know. If you are, staff may reach out to you to record the story of your crucible moment on camera or help share your written story. Nothing will be published without your knowledge and approval first.

Thank you for your vulnerability.
