MAD Community Survey
The North Park Maintenance Assessment District (MAD) was first approved by the property owners of North Park in the 1990's.  Permitted by state law, a MAD allows property owners to agree to pay assessments as part of their property tax bill to provide special benefits in the neighborhood that exceed the basic services provided by the city.  Since it was approved, the North Park MAD has planted trees, added trash cans, installed streetlights, added landscaping, maintained the community signs, and cleaned the sidewalks of the commercial areas of North Park.  As currently approved by the property owners, many of the services are focused on 30th Street, University Avenue, and El Cajon Boulevard.

North Park has changed drastically since the MAD was formed.  State law does not allow the MAD to change its services or expand its boundary without the approval of local property owners within the district boundary.  The City and the MAD advisory board want to ensure that the MAD is adequately serving the needs of the community and is seeking your input.  If you are a property owner or resident in North Park, please complete this survey to provide input on the current services offered and whether you would like to see the MAD provide additional services to meet the current needs of the neighborhood.  Although we ask for your email to validate responses, we will not contact you unless you request that we do so.
