The long-existing symbiotic relationship between the oceans and climate change has never been as important, nor as challenged, as it is today. The 9th Haifa Conference will focus on the evidence recognized for both local and global impacts. There will be live and virtual talks, including influential leaders in the field, posters, and industry booths. This one-day student-organized conference will target young people from universities throughout Israel. All aspects of the conference will be environmentally friendly, including calculating the conference to be zero-emissions, avoiding unnecessary plastic waste, utilizing non-carbon footprint technologies, and serving climate-aware food choices, as well as items 'of the future' that will give participants an opportunity to experience alternatives.
