2022 -2023 Clipper Friends Application

The Clipper Friend Program is a school based mentor program designed to match a high school student with a younger student who may have a need for a positive friendship, or in some cases, supporting their academic needs.  Children are referred to the program by guidance counselors, teachers or parents.  We will meet with you prior to placement in order to ensure an appropriate match will be made.  The Clipper Friends generally meet every Wednesday from 8:05am - 8:45am at Yarmouth Elementary School and 7:40am -8:10 am at Harrison Middle School.

PHILOSOPHY AGREEMENT STATEMENT
The School Committee and Administration require that everyone volunteering in any of the Yarmouth Schools reads and agrees to this agreement.  Yarmouth School Volunteers further enhance the educational opportunities and experiences of the children within the school system.  He/she needs to be aware of the need for confidentiality in regard to any school/child related information and recognize that activities will be directed at all times by the classroom teacher and/or Volunteer Coordinator in accordance with all established educational policies and objectives. This program is an integral part of the Yarmouth School Dept. and I agree to fulfill my obligations as a Yarmouth School Volunteer *
