PRUSD Goals
During the budget workshops held in March of 2021, members of the community, members of the Board of Trustees, and PRUSD staff selected and then voted on goals ("aims") for PRUSD to strive for in our upcoming budgets (2021-2024). Below each aim is a list, in order of preference, that participants of the budget workshop voted on during the March 23rd session.

Aim: By June, 2022 Math CaASPP Scores and NWEA RIT scores will increase by 5% for all students.
1. Upgrade curriculum
2. Extended day
3. Mathematical Mindset

Additional suggestion to achieve the above aim:
Aim: By June, 2022 Math CaASPP Scores will increase by 5% for all students. Short Term - Learning Loss Mitigation.
1. Specialist to teach ½ of class while teacher instructs smaller groups
2. Math specialist teacher
3. Before/After school tutoring

Additional suggestion to achieve the above aim:
Aim: By June, 2022 ELA CaASPP Scores and STAR GE Reading scores will increase by 5% for all students.  Short Term - Learning Loss Mitigation.
1. In class small group and 1-on-1 tutoring AND Before/After School Tutoring
2. Smaller class sizes
3. Education Through Music (ETM) lessons

Additional suggestion to achieve the above aim:
Aim: By June, 2022 PRUSD will develop and implement a comprehensive multi-tiered systems of supports that will assist all members of the learning community with Social-Emotional needs.
1. Hiring an additional counselor
2. Smaller Class Sizes
3. Purchasing SEL curriculum AND Professional  Development and training on SEL curriculum

Additional suggestion to achieve the above aim:
Aim: By June, 2022 ELA CaASPP scores and STAR GE Reading scores will increase by 5% for all students.
1. Smaller class sizes
2. Reading/Intervention specialist at each site
3. Tier 2 and 3 interventions/curriculum

Additional suggestion to achieve the above aim:
Aim: By June, 2022 PRUSD will increase support services to encourage, engage, educate each student everyday. This aim is focused on instructional supports, facilities, and technology improvements to accomplish the mission of PRUSD.
1. Cabling infrastructure
2. HVAC
3. TV & doc cameras tied with;
3. Refresh science labs at Magnolia

Additional suggestion to achieve the above aim:
Aim: By June, 2022 80% of all 5th graders and 7th graders will report they are engaged in school. This is based on the annual California Healthy Kids Survey, absenteeism, chronic absenteeism, and annual parent surveys.
1. Elementary music teacher
2. PE at Elementary sites
3. Activities Director
