Retreats bring the Mindfulness with People of Color Community together and provide you with the opportunity to apply what you have learned in real time, in a non-judgmental space.

Be Curious, Open, and Respectful. Call in, not out. Throw sunshine, not shade. No One Knows Everything. Together we know a lot. 

We Take Care of Ourselves. Stretch, eat, drink, use the restroom, rest, etc. Confidentiality. Avoid speaking for others without explicit permission. Be mindful of not sharing something communicated in our private and safe space. 

Mindfully Listen. Be present in the moment of what is being shared and try to maintain awareness as you listen. 

Take Space/Make Space. If you are usually quiet, challenge yourself to take more space. If you usually talk a lot, be mindful to leave room for quieter voices. Be Conscious of Intent vs. Impact. No matter the intention; you’re responsible for your impact.

Our goal is to change the narrative and educate our black and brown communities on what mindfulness has to offer while also sharing space with all of you.
