Requirements for admission:
• 5 History courses completed before Fall 2024
• College GPA of 3.0
• History GPA of 3.5
• Support of a History Department faculty advisor

The deadline for applications to the Honors Program is Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 11:59 pm.

To complete your thesis research, please note the following application deadlines for college funding:

• Apr. 24th– UGAR thesis funding for Summer Term (up to $2,500)
• Late April (check website) – Rockefeller Center Thesis Funding for Fall (up to $2,000)
• May 10th – Leslie Center Student Research Grant for Summer (up to $1,800)
• Late July (check UGAR website) – UGAR thesis funding for Fall Term (up to $2,500)

Outline briefly (500-750 words) your preliminary research interest, including an annotated bibliography of 3-5 sources. Your proposal should include the geographic, chronological, or thematic area that you are interested in exploring. Please frame a question you seek to answer and provide some background to your interest in that topic and research question. You can be as specific or general as you feel comfortable with at this point.
