WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY:  The Participant, on behalf of him/herself and any accompanying minor: (1) voluntarily assumes all risks incident to the Construction Camp for Girls (the “Event”), including but not limited to the effects of COVID-19; 2) waives, releases and discharges the Iowa Department of Education,  Des Moines Public Schools its agents, affiliates, employees, contractors and event sponsors from all liability for participant’s property damage, illness, injury or death as a direct or indirect result  of the participant’s attendance at the Event; and (3) agrees to defend, indemnify and hold Iowa Department of Education and all event sponsors harmless from and against all claims, suits, costs, expenses, attorneys fees, damages and liabilities which, in any manner, results from participant’s attendance and/or actions during the Event.   *
