Nazareth Summer Leadership Academy for Young Women and Girls - Scholarship Request Form

There may be an opportunity for a limited number of partial scholarship funds for attendees of the Nazareth College/University Summer Leadership Academy for Young Women and Girls. Scholarships, for 50% off the cost of the participant's registration for the Academy, will be awarded based on demonstrated financial need and on a space available basis. It is the family’s responsibility to include evidence of need with this application.

To request financial assistance, please complete and submit this application, and send any additional files to leadershipacademy@naz.edu for consideration. Requests for financial support will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Please allow Academy staff 2 weeks to receive and review your application; you will receive an email communicating our decision on your scholarship request at the end of that review period.

Required are 2 personal statements (Please type your responses in the designated open text fields within this application.):

To be completed by a parent/guardian: Please describe why you are requesting financial support for your child's participation in the Summer Leadership Academy for Women and Young Girls?
To be completed by the participant: What topics are you most interested in as you continue to anticipate your experience and growth opportunities at the Summer Leadership Academy? What excites you most about this program?

Optional (NOT required!) additional supports include any/all of the following (Please submit these documents by email.):

Evidence of qualification of your child’s eligibility for free/reduced lunch
Letter of support from a teacher, school counselor, or other school professional
Letter of support from your child's coach, instructor of art/music programs within the community, or an adult participant from a similar community group

(Please note that additional supporting documents are not required, but welcomed in support scholarship consideration.)

Please be advised:

All applications, personal statements, and optional (NOT required!) additional supports must be received on/before Friday, June 23rd, 5:00 pm.
No scholarships, refunds, or other related financial transactions will be made after Tuesday, June 27th, 5:00 pm.
