Food Stash is a charity dedicated to reducing food waste and improving local food security. We partner with local retailers and wholesalers to collect good, surplus, perishable food (produce, deli, baked goods, meat, seafood, dairy and eggs) that would otherwise go to waste due to overstocking or not meeting unrealistic consumer standards. We deliver that food immediately to other organizations, or individuals experiencing food insecurity.  

All food donors donating food, in good faith, are protected from liabilities by BC’s Food Donor Encouragement Act. As long as the food was not rotten or unfit for consumption, and the food was not donated or distributed with reckless disregard for safety, this Act provides protection from liability.
