Parent Code of Conduct:
As a parent of an athlete(s) in the Conestoga Valley Youth Field Hockey Association, I will abide by the following guidelines:
I will set a good example by practicing teamwork with all parents, athletes and coaches and supporting the athletes, coaches and other parents along with the values of sportsmanship, loyalty, commitment and hard work. As a parent, I will not coach or instruct the team or any athlete or interfere with coaches at any time (practice and games). If I have a complaint or problem, I will try to resolve it with a coach in the presence of a board member. This will not be done during practices, games or while the athletes are present. If a board member is not available or not present, I will contact one to set up a meeting with the coaches, board member and myself. As a parent, I understand that criticizing, name-calling, using abusive language or gestures directed toward the coaches, officials, opposing team and/or any athlete will not be permitted or tolerated. I am responsible for the transportation of my child(ren) to and from all practices and games at the scheduled times. During games, questions or concerns regarding decisions made by the officials are to be directed to a coach or board member. If you need to talk to a coach, do so only before or after practice.
Sanctions: Should I conduct myself in such a way that brings discredit or discord to the Conestoga Valley Youth Field Hockey Association, I voluntarily subject myself to disciplinary actions. The Conestoga Valley Youth Field Hockey Association maintains the right to terminate any membership with or without cause in the interest of our vision, mission and objectives.
