"America at 250: West Virginia Plans for the Semiquincentennial"

2024 Annual Meeting and Conference
Shepherd University, Shepherdstown, WV
June 6 - 8, 2024

The West Virginia Association of Museums’ annual meeting and conference will be held June 6-8, 2024, at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. The theme of WVAM’s 2024 conference is “America at 250: West Virginia Plans for the Semiquincentennial.” Those who attend the conference will discuss the national efforts for the 250th anniversary and what West Virginian institutions are planning for this event. We hope that this conference will be a space for sharing ideas and planning collaborations.

WVAM is now accepting proposals for poster presentations from students, AmeriCorps members, or institutions wanting to share research or projects. These posters can address our conference theme, but do not have to. Poster presentations can present any research or projects related to public history, museums, and similar institutions.

The deadline for submission of proposals is May 15, 2024.

Please email us at museumsofwv@gmail.com or call WVAM President Crystal Wimer at 304.813.8569 if you have questions.
