GEBG-GIP EVENT: STORYTELLING ACROSS CULTURES FEATURING ISHMAEL BEAH (May 1, 2021)
As part of the GEBG Global Writers Initiative and in partnership with Narrative 4, the GEBG will be hosting a live virtual event on Saturday, May 1 at 9am with New York Times bestselling author and UNICEF’s first Advocate for Children Affected by War, Ishmael Beah. Beah will address the topic of “Storytelling Across Cultures” and share his own story as a child growing up during civil war in Sierra Leone. Poly global scholars will be introducing and facilitating this discussion with students from all over the world and you will have the opportunity to ask questions of Beah during the event at the conclusion of his 40-minute talk (that will be different from the assembly in February).
