We often take photos at our events which we may later post on our website or social media. If you don't want to be in any photos, please let our staff know at the start of the event you attend.

Fralin Art Museum Tour
Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2-3pm. Join us at the Fralin Art Museum for a tour of their Structures exhibit. Please let us know if you will need parking in the Questions/Comments/Accommodations section.
O-Hill Trail Walk
Saturday, Jan. 7, 3-4pm.  Need to get out of the house? Our ISO colleague, along with her two dogs, will lead an O-Hill Nature Walk to get to know trails around Grounds and each other on a nice, beginner-level trail.
Current Events Chat
Thursday, Jan. 12, 5:30-7pm.  Join the International Center to discuss current events in the U.S. and around the world. Pizza and drinks will be provided. You are welcome to bring questions about what you've seen/heard in the news to discuss with the group. This is an opportunity to make friends, keep up with current events, improve English skills, and share cultures. 
Indo-Bengali Cooking Class
FULL AND CLOSED: Sunday, Jan. 15, 3-5pm.  *Space is limited* Join us at the International Center to learn how to make some Indo-Bengali dishes. You can register to be put on the waiting list.
Board Games Evening
Thursday, Jan. 19, 5:30-7pm. Join us at the International Center for an evening of pizza, board games & lantern making. We'll have stations for board games and lantern making. 
Houseplants Starter Workshop
Sunday, Jan. 29, 1-2pm OR 2:30-3:30pm. Learn how to take care of common houseplants, plus pot decorating, and propagating some starter plants to take home with you. All materials will be provided.

English Book Group
CANCELED - GROUP WILL NOT MEET.  Tuesdays, Jan. 17, 24, 31, 10:30am-12pm. Want to read more but struggle to make the time and stay motivated? Enjoy reading and good books with the support and encouragement of the group. Come to the center one morning a week to read and discuss books together.
English Conversation Group
Tuesdays, Jan. 17, 24, 31, 5:30-6:30pm.  Participants gather weekly for informal conversation at the International Center. The group leader(s) create discussion topics and activities to help participants practice speaking English. This is an opportunity to make friends, improve English skills, and share cultures.

If you would like to lead an event with the IC or have any ideas of events (cooking, art, games, outings, etc.), please write what you would be interested in leading! We're always looking for new volunteers and ideas to keep our community engaged and happy!
