This form is for anyone not familiar with what we do, has never taken part but would like to know more about what we do.  This is NOT an event registration form or for our existing volunteers.

In June 2020 we started with 30 streets in North Tyneside , in April 2021 we collected from 368 streets and in May we collected from 460 streets!!  Every month our coverage of North Tyneside expands as more and more volunteers like you join our campaign. The more volunteers we have, the more people we can help.   In May we trialed our first campaign outside of North Tyneside the same day which we would like to grow over the next 6 months.

Do you live in North Tyneside, Newcastle, Gateshead or Durham?  If not, we are expanding into other areas!

Do you want to help the others by being a Street Champion?  Those who can’t afford to feed their families!

Could you spare an hour the first Saturday of the month?  Or other time to leaflet during the week?

Does it have to be every month? No, it could be as and when you can!

What does a Street Champion do?  

You would put forward a street, usually where you live, but you can do more than one if you would like. You would do this by filling in a registration form for the forthcoming month and you would be a Street Champion.  The week before the event we provide professionally printed leaflets which you can order and collect to let your neighbours know about the campaign and that you will be collecting.  On the day, you would collect food items (zero contact) from outside the houses of your street(s) from 2pm (residents living int he street are asked to leave the items before 2pm) and take to a nearby location the same day.  You can do alone, with someone or create a team.
