We look forward to welcoming you and your child into Reception or Nursery at St Helen's Primary. We would like to communicate with you regularly in order to introduce you to staff, learning environments and for us to get to know your child and their family before September, including visit your child in their current setting.
In order to do this we need you to complete this online form, including your email address, so that we can set you up with a Tapestry Online Learning Journey. Using the Tapestry App/website will allow us to communicate about your child via a secure online platform. If you are new to the school we also ask that you complete our GDPR permissions form, also available on our website.

Tapestry Consent

Please read the following statement regarding Tapestry:

All Reception children attending St Helen's Primary School have a personal on-line Learning Journey which teachers use to record photos, observations and comments, building up a record of your child’s experiences during their time with us.
Tapestry Online Learning Journey is a system which is hosted in the UK on secure servers. Filenames are encoded for uploaded videos and images, making it a safe and secure on-line Learning Journey tool.
The Tapestry App and website will allow you to access to your child’s Learning Journey and we encourage you to contribute by uploading photos and videos, or by commenting on observations made by us.
In order for your child’s Learning Journey to be created please could you provide permission by completing the form below. Up to four relatives can be added for each child. If the child has another relative which requires access (e.g mother/ father/ grandparent) they can also complete this form or they can complete the paper form included in your welcome pack.
Please note: parents only have access to their own child’s Learning Journey. If you have more than one child joining the setting a separate form will need to be completed for each child.

I agree not to electronically share, by social media or other platforms any content from my child’s learning journey (including photos/ videos). Failure to abide by this will result in your child’s Tapestry account being suspended. I give permission for my child’s image to appear in any group photos/ videos on Tapestry (we try to avoid this but it is not always possible when children are playing closely together).

Please note that you can withdraw your consent, in writing, or request to see photos/videos taken at any time. This form is valid for the duration of your child’s time at St Helen's Primary School. It is your responsibility to let us know if you want to withdraw or change your consent at any time.
