Those who identify as as PEERs (Persons Excluded because of Ethnicity or Race) are encouraged to apply to the Anti-Racism Fund as an auxiliary to this fund.
As we are getting more requests for medical expenses, as a reminder, if you receive medical care from OHSU, you can apply for OHSU financial assistance to cover your bill. Information can be found at
https://www.ohsu.edu/health/financial-assistance-programs. Patients making under 300% of the federal poverty level are eligible for 100% financial assistance, and the current GR stipend falls within this range. The number to call for the initial screening is

Disbursement of hardship funds bars approval by simple majority of GRU executive board voting members. While any GR within the bargaining unit may apply, dues-paying members have priority.
For dues-paying union members, the maximum amount they can apply for is $300.
For non-union members, the maximum amount that they can apply for is $150.
