The Nocturnists. Our volunteers are an important part of the work we do and we look forward to working with as many people as possible.
As of March 1, 2024, our current volunteer opportunities are:
Podcast episode transcript editing- task(s): review and edit grammar, spelling, and wording in auto-generated transcription for podcast episodes while listening to episode.
- best for: someone detail oriented, precise, likes to obsess on the little things. Grammar nerds welcome!
- available: ongoing - sign up once or for multiple.
- difficulty: easy-medium (takes time and attention to detail)
Social media post creation and/or posting- task(s): create social media posts (audiograms, content in canva/design programs, etc) and help develop and roll out a simple social media plan
- best for: someone with previous social media manager experience
- available: ongoing, ideally we would work with the same person/people for a while to ensure brand consistency in posts
- difficulty: medium (requires experience and regular time commitment)
Outreach (to audience and foundation engagement) - task(s): develop and engage network contacts to broaden The Nocturnists reach of storyteller engagement and potential foundation/grantor engagement
- best for: someone who likes talking with people, has a broad network or likes networking
- available: ongoing, ideally we would work with the same person/people for a while
- difficulty: hard (requires experience and regular time commitment)
Episode Research:- task(s): research potential art, books, short stories, etc for our Conversations series
- best for: someone who loves art, likes finding new things to read and watch.
- available: ongoing, on/off. This could be 30 minutes once, or 30 minutes each week.
- difficulty: easy-med (requires wifi and a good google search!)
