Thank you for your interest in becoming a peer researcher at the Young Foundation.
As a reminder, we are looking for people who live in Thames View and Barking Riverside to help carry out research into the views of local residents on how the area is developing against the Thames Futures vision which was developed by the community in 2019 (and launched in 2020). You can read the original Thames Futures vision and resident priorities, along with the commitments made by Barking Riverside Ltd (BRL) here:
https://barkingriverside.london/our-vision-for-the-future-of-thames-ward/ You will be trained as a peer researcher to help give a voice to other people in your communities, and use their views to inform a progress report and the plans of Barking Riverside Ltd over the coming year. Initial training will take place on Wednesday 12th and Monday 17th January 2022 between approx. 10 am and 2pm - you must be able to make these sessions.
Later training sessions and meetings will be scheduled with the peer researcher team to reflect people's availability. However, you must have some daytime availability in order to be able to conduct the research - we can be flexible on exact times and days of the week.
