Camp Kesem provides a peer-based support system, anchored in a network of free summer camps, for children affected by a parent's cancer. Led by the passionate efforts of college students across the country, Camp Kesem provides what these kids need most - support, courage, empathy and fun, as they face realities no child should have to face.

Camp Kesem was founded at Stanford University in 2000, and has grown rapidly. In the summer of 2019, Camp Kesem supported over 10,000 children impacted by a parent's cancer. In the summer of 2020, Camp Kesem supported over 8,600 children impacted by a parent's cancer with our new virtual program--Kesem at Home.
