GLAM Coordinator
(Spring 2022 – Winter 2023)
Note: this position requires some work during summer 2022

What is GLAM?
Formerly known as Trans Action Week, Gender Liberation and Awareness Month (GLAM) is a month-long series of events. GLAM was originally organized by both QSR and SQRTL but is now run as a QSR program. GLAM educates community members about gender diversity and gender-specific campus resources, fosters trans-centric community spaces for queer and trans individuals and allies, participates in queer and trans art, skill-sharing, and ancestral connection building, and connects participants to activist work outside of campus. Events begin on October 31st and happen throughout November.

A note on identity
Because this month of programming honors trans and gender non-conforming folks and seeks to create gender-expansive and inclusive spaces on campus and beyond, we are looking specifically for people who identify as trans or non-binary to get paid for this work. We recognize how fraught identity is and how difficult it can be to feel “trans enough,” so we welcome you to apply for this position if you’re gender questioning or still figuring out what gender means for you. Prior knowledge of the gender-expansive terminology and accommodation strategies is preferred but not required, so long as a willingness to learn is clearly present.
