WE at this point do not know yet, what the 2021-2022 school year will bring. But many of us have been walking more the last school year just to get out of the house- so why not walk the kids to school in the morning?

WALKING:
The simple act of walking to school provides a wealth of benefits. By joining neighbors and classmates on the indicated mornings, you and your children can get exercise, build community, increase test scores, and take care of the environment.
The walking school bus runs on a schedule along established routes rain or shine. Parents living along the routes can arrange to either have the same parent walk on specific days or switch weekly on who will walk with the  kids; similar to a carpool; just walking. Some routes

BIKING:
Last school year for the first time we had bike safety training for our 3rd and 4th grade students – after hearing about safety they cycled along a bicycle concourse to put the learned skills into practical use

CARPOOLING:
You don’t live in walking distance?
Are you tired of doing the ride to Roy Cloud several times every day?
Not sure if there is a neighbor near by with the same schedule?

DRIVING
Even if you are not ready to walk or cycle to school, you can help making the roads around Roy Cloud safer in signing the safe routes to school safety .

BUS:
the bus stop to use samtrans is  0.5 miles away from school; but in the past several middle schoolers used it to get to /from school. Currently the bus route is stopped due COVID low ridership (Canada college is currently online too!) Get on our email list and we will inform you as soon as the bus lines resume!

If you are driving 5 days a week, we and none of these options seem feasible for you, please also let us know why and what it is that could change your mode of transportation away from the car.
