From Their Voices: Women Succeeding in Leadership  Panel Discussion, Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 5:30 pm

Join the Center for Academic Excellence for a panel discussion about strategies women without traditional resources of power used to succeed in their organizations and communities. The event will be in the Conference Center. 

The event is funded by Alverno College alum Dr. Mary Ann Schwartz (‘62) and Dr. Richard Brewer as part of the Dr. Mary Ann Schwartz & Dr. Richard Brewer Speaker Series.

Panelists

Dr. Shakkiah Curtis,  director of business development, membership growth and engagement for the MKE Tech Hub Coalition. She owns Spinn MKE, a fitness and wellness center in Milwaukee. 

Dr. Stacia Thompson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sherman Phoenix Foundation, manages operations for the Sherman Phoenix Marketplace. More than 60% of the businesses at Sherman Phoenix are women-led and almost all of the businesses are owned by people of color.

Dr. Nadiyah Johnson, CEO of Jet Constellation, a local software company that functions to promote STEM education in Milwaukee, consult tech-oriented start-ups and build a nurturing ecosystem of techies and entrepreneurs.
