Dear Applicant,
We want all members of our community to be able to participate in our programs, and we provide scholarships to as many students as possible. Full and partial scholarships are available with preference to Newton residents and students of Newton Public Schools.

To apply, please:
1. Submit the application by the deadlines below:

Winter classes: January 15th
Spring classes: March 15th
Summer classes/camps: Open
Fall classes: September 15th

2. Accurately complete ALL fields of the application.

3. Submit income verification documents to NCE.

When we receive your application AND your income verification documents, we will carefully review your information, our current availability of funds, and the number of applications we’ve received. Then we will contact you to let you know the decision so that you can register for the class.

Proof of Income *

To finalize your application, we must receive your proof of income. We will not be able to review applications until we have your proof of income. Proof of income is a copy of your most recent 1040 federal tax return or TANF card. If you do not have one of these items, please email nce-scholarship@newton.k12.ma.us and we will work with you to establish an appropriate proof. You can submit your proof of income by EITHER:

1) Emailing pictures of your most recent 1040 tax return or TANF card to nce-scholarship@newton.k12.ma.us. Please black out your social security number before sending us your documentation.

2) Mailing or bringing in hardcopy proof of income to the office at NCE 458 Walnut St Newtonville MA 02460 (in Newton North High School). We have a copier if you need to make copies of originals.
