A student buddy is a person who helps incoming exchange students with settling in, provides basic info about studies, guides them through their smaller problems and introduces them the basics of Estonian culture and society. Or just shows them the best bars. Usually it's a bit of both.

Student buddy training session

If you are a student buddy for the first time, you have to attend a training session. If you study at Tallinn University, you also need to take a course "Tutoring at Tallinn University", which is 4 ECTS worth! (Easy way to earn your credits😁). At the training, you will be given an overview about the international activities of Tallinn University and of the student buddies' tasks, and a
communication training will take place. The training will finalize with a nice surprise 😉
