Help your child find page 17 in their handbooks. Ask: How are the dancing children dressed? They are wearing different color clothes according to where they live. Ask: Do they all look the same?  No, their clothes and skin colors tell us they are from different races and cultures. Ask: How else are they different? *
Explain that God makes different kinds of people and loves them all. God wants all people to be happy and to have a share of the good things in the world. *
Hand out crayons and have your child color the child at the top of the circle to look like himself or herself, with the same color hair and same color clothing.

Explain that the woman Jesus met in Sunday's Gospel story was not from the same town as Jesus. She was from Samaria, a town that was an enemy to Jesus' people. Jesus did not care about this. He offered her special water so she could live with God forever. During our Baptism, the priest or deacon pours water over our head as a symbol of new life. Baptism makes us clean and welcomes us into God's family, the Church
