Lumsden School PB4L (Positive Behaviour For Learning)
We want to collect your feedback about our plans for PB4Lfor 2022.
We want to work towards a whole school reward system this year instead of being solely individual.  Students will be awarded tokens for positive behaviour and showing our values both in the classroom and the playground. Tokens can be used to vote for fun whole school activities. Once a container is full, the whole school (apart from those who are missing out due to serious or repeated behaviour) will enjoy the fun activity or reward. Do you support this type of approach?

Students have already suggested ideas for rewards and fun activities for example a movie and popcorn afternoon. Staff would like to make a list of 6 realistic options for students to vote on.  Four would be selected as targets for the year.  A container to collect tokens would be set up for each reward.  What ideas do you have for rewards and fun activities?
Students who have been involved in three major incidents (e.g. abusive language or violence) in a term would not participate in the reward.  These students would spend time with the Principal (learning about choices, reflecting on behaviour and upskilling in problem solving). Do you support this approach?

Currently the existing behaviour plan (pictured below) means that 3 minor behaviours in a week equals a major.  Three majors in a term leads to loss of reward.  Do you agree with this?
