Timmins Together - Human Rights Wall of Fame Nomination

The Timmins Together Selection Committee is seeking nominations for members of our community who have shown leadership in human rights, humanitarianism or anti-discrimination, inclusivity and welcoming activities locally, regionally, nationally or internationally. Photos of inducted members of the City of Timmins Human Rights Wall of Fame will be displayed near the main entrance to the Timmins Public Library/ CHMA Building, which has been generously sponsored by the City of Timmins.

Nominators of 2022 awardees had this to say about them “Being two front line workers at the Emergency Department, these women saw firsthand the crisis that was plaguing our community.  They saw the same people coming back to the hospital time and time again to be treated for opioid addiction related issues.  They knew that something needed to change and these people could not continue to die in our city.  So what did they do?  They took matters into their own hands and hit the streets.”

Do you know anyone worthy of this recognition?

Please complete this form to nominate a candidate for the Wall of Fame. All nominations must be completed by March 29, 2023.

To be considered:

•Potential nominees are those who have provided leadership on human rights issues, tolerance and anti-discrimination whether in the community or even provincially, nationally or internationally.
