Tournament rules and structure (at each level):

  • Number one rule is to have fun and to know that everyone here has helped someone that has fallen on harder times than us. DuPage Pads is an awesome charity that directly helps our local community!
  • There will be 3 groups of 8 (AB&C)
  • Each group will play on 2 courts
  • Games are played first to 11 (regular scoring)
  • Each team will call their own violations fairly,  where the ball lands, players on that side get to call the ball
  • Each team is allowed one 3min timeout

To get to the playoffs:

  • The Top points earner from each group ABC and the next top points earner across all the groups will be the fourth player (D).
  • If there is a tie, the higher number of wins will break the tie. If that doesn’t solve the tie, a coin flip will decide.
  • Playoff games are played to 11 win by two; three total games in the playoffs. Per player's cumulative score determines placement. To break the tie, total number of wins will be tie breaker still
  • There will be a gold, silver, bronze and a honorable mention award; cumulative
  • Medals will be awarded starting with the top point earner and then the next lower
  • If there is a tie, the higher number of wins will break the tie. If that doesn’t solve the tie, a coin flip will decide.
