A note from the Pastor
Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The calling to contribute to the leadership of Christ’s church is a weighty calling, and not one taken lightly. But it is also a calling filled with much joy, and thanksgiving.

Indeed, Peter reminds us, “as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.” 1 Peter 5:1–4

Local church leadership is crucial, for by the leaders is the congregation equipped for ministry, maturity, and unity. “And [Jesus] gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God...” Ephesians 4:11–13
