Call for Abstracts - "Reducing Maternal Mortality: Strategies That Work!"

We invite you, your peers, and colleagues to submit abstracts and poster proposals for an impactful day-long interdisciplinary meeting addressing Maternal Mortality in the United States. The conference will be presented onsite for up to 100 participants and online for 300 attendees. We are seeking abstracts for 15-minute oral presentations and poster presentations to be showcased at the conference. Presenters are required to be onsite. 

Maternal mortality rates are alarmingly high for all women, with a doubled incidence among African American and Native American populations. Contributing factors include limited access to care, insufficient financial resources and insurance, racial discrimination, cultural insensitivity, undocumented status, chronic medical conditions, mental health issues, pregnancy complications, addictive behaviors, restrictive laws, and partner abuse and violence. We invite submissions describing effective policies and programs that have successfully reduced maternal mortality.

We welcome abstracts for fifteen-minute presentations and posters. Abstracts from any healthcare provider will be accepted for 15-minute oral presentations. The abstract should be 500 words or less,  clearly describing the program, including interventions, geographic areas, populations served, program duration, types of providers, number of individuals served, and outcome measurements. Please specify the number of individuals who completed the program and their responses to interventions. Highlight accomplishments, impact assessments, and future plans, emphasizing how the program contributes to reducing maternal mortality. 

Additionally, we welcome posters to be displayed during the conference. Posters should follow the format of an oral scientific presentation, including Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions, and Recommendations. Posters should also address specific programs or strategies to decrease maternal mortality.
