This event is an introduction to opportunities with the nonprofit Climate Neutral
https://www.climateneutral.org/, which provides a certification and label for brands that offset and reduce all of their carbon emissions.
Climate Neutral works with over 230 brands including REI, Allbirds, Kickstarter, and Reformation. Their platform was launched in mid-2019 and in a short time has become one of the most widely known consumer standards for carbon neutrality.
The event will feature Climate Neutral's CEO, Austin Whitman, and Certification Manager, Isabella Todaro. The organization's current priorities include launching an open source carbon footprinting tool, continuing to mobilize brands to become certified, and preparing for its 2021 certification cycle.
Austin and Isabella will talk about how the organization plans to scale its impact over the next few years, and what its current opportunities are to help out.
