The Rotary Club of Fort Worth, a service-oriented group of business and community stakeholders since 1913, has had a storied tradition of supporting the local economy. Our members are business executives, nonprofit leaders, and elected officials, all of whom prefer to both serve and do business with good people they know and trust.
Our club recognizes that historically underutilized businesses have not traditionally been afforded the same level of support and opportunities as white-owned businesses. Furthermore, we also recognize that minority-owned businesses have been disproportionally affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In alignment with our mission and values, The Rotary Club of Fort Worth 4-Way Minority Business Award to be given each spring. This award will recognize MBE leaders who have demonstrated core elements of the ROTARY 4-WAY TEST through both leadership, community engagement, and outstanding business practices in Fort Worth.
The 2022 award recipients will be announced and presented at a special luncheon in April 22, 2022.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Open to any minority-owned business located in Fort Worth.
- Minority businesses must be at least 51% minority-owned operated and controlled.
- Minority group member(s) is an individual who is at least 25% Asian, Black, Hispanic, or Native American.
Business’s values must reflect the values of the ROTARY 4-WAY TEST:
- Is it the Truth?
- Is it Fair to all concerned?
- Will it build Goodwill and Friendships?
- Will it be Beneficial to all concerned?
Nominations may be submitted by any business or person in the community.
Nominations must answer all questions in the nomination form.
Self-nominations are acceptable.
SELECTION:
Nominations are confidential and will be reviewed by an appointed committee made up of business and professional leaders in Fort Worth. Selection will be based on the in-depth written answers to all questions as well as an in-person interview with the selection committee. The top three awardees will be presented at the April 22, 2022, Rotary Club of Fort Worth luncheon.
