This project is supported by the International Teaching Artist Collaborative (ITAC) as part of the ITAC Partnership Project 2020. Through this project, Teaching Artist Asia, led by Jeffrey Tan, hopes to explore and document inclusive arts practice efforts across Asia. It is also hoped the project will help to connect asia-based teaching artists and arts groups working in this sector.
The project will kick off with a series of 6 monthly informal chats, aptly named, "Ways of Working Chat Series". The chats will be held on every last monday of each month, starting in May 2021. We would like to welcome Teaching Artists, Educators, Arts Organisations, Government Agencies and any Arts/Cultural workers working with disabled communities in Asia to join us.
For the inaugural chat, we will begin with the theme of 'Looking at Inclusive Arts Practice in Asia'.
