Young Invincibles West: 2022 Young Advocates Fall Cohort Application
YI West is building a movement! We are looking for young adults who are ready and excited to become the next generation of community leaders. This program is a unique hands-on leadership development program aimed to train Millennials and Gen Z-ers to engage in their community around major issues that impact our generations such as higher education (access and affordability), health care (access, affordability, and prevention) and economic security.

Young Advocates is a paid 12-week leadership development program for young adults aged 18-34.
Participants will learn about issues that impact young adults in California,  how to use stories as a tool for community organizing, how to build coalitions, how track legislation and local ordinances, and how to build momentum via social media.

The dates of the program will run September - December 2022 and meet twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays. Attendance at Wednesday and Friday meetings is required.

Our Young Advocates are asked to talk to new people and gather their stories as well as perform policy analysis and advocacy at the legislative level and other institutions. Are you comfortable doing this or are there any barriers to you completing these tasks? *
This program requires that you work alongside members of your cohort to facilitate a group project relating to one of our issue areas. Will you be able to complete group work and/or individual work outside of our weekly meetings? *

Per Federal guidelines, all persons employed by YI must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19  by their start date. Can you confirm that you will be fully vaccinated by September 16th 2022? Documentation will be required.
