Introduction
The Cabinet Office’s Public Appointments Policy Team provides leadership and guidance to improve the quality of the appointments process and also to widen the pool of candidates applying for vacancies, thereby increasing the diversity of public boards.

Following publication of the government’s refreshed Public Appointments Diversity Action Plan 2019, we are circulating  the following short survey to understand ways we can strengthen the support given to public appointees and those interested in applying for public appointments.

If you are considering a role as a public appointee, or already hold a public appointment and are interested in applying for other roles in the future, we would like to hear your views on what further support would benefit you in terms of applying for appointments, the induction you receive, and opportunities to network and connect with other appointees.

Please contact PublicAppointments@cabinetoffice.gov.uk if you require further information or to request an accessible version of the survey.
