National 4-H Conference Reference

 Reference Deadline is November 30, 2023  by 5:00 p.m.

The California 4-H National Conference Delegation Selection Committee would like to thank you for your time and effort to provide a reference on behalf of the applicant. We believe that a valuable part of the application process is to receive input from individuals associated with the applicants. 

Please be honest and straightforward in your comments. Specific examples are appreciated.  

The applicant is applying to be a member of the California Delegation to the National 4-H Conference. The purpose of the California 4-H Delegation to the National 4-H Conference is to:

  • Provide opportunities for California youth and adults to participate in and contribute to 4-H on the national level.
  • Assist California 4-H Youth Development in strengthening youth-adult partnerships and involving youth, volunteers, and staff in 4-H decision-making.
  • Provide a system for an exchange of 4-H Youth Development programming ideas among states.
  • Meet with Congress and The Senate and make legislators aware of the tremendous impact of the 4-H program.
