Introduction to Web Accessibility Training
Offered by the University of Maryland Division of IT  

Training session for University of Maryland staff.

Everyone is welcome to participate in this training session. This is an introductory training directed to web content producers, editors and managers.

This 2-hour training will cover:
- Introduction to Web Accessibility 
- Overview on how individuals with disabilities use the web
- How to apply IT Accessibility 6 essential steps (headings, links, color and contrast, images, tables, media) in your everyday tasks
- Basics of accessibility testing (automated tools and manual checks)
- Basics of document accessibility

Participants will receive Zoom meeting information before the event.

Training sessions will be recorded and shared with participants after the event is completed.
