Join the Colorado Media Project for two timely journalism collaborations in 2020

Local journalists in Colorado have a lot on their plates, covering the COVID-19 public health crisis in the midst of a highly contentious 2020 election season. And with fewer reporters than ever populating local newsrooms, the potential upside for collaboration between newsrooms is even greater.

That's why Colorado Media Project is sponsoring two journalism collaboration projects this year, and we hope you'll join us.

First, in partnership with First Draft News, a global nonprofit tackling information disorder, we're announcing Colorado 2020 Misinformation Watch. will provide tips and train journalists on tracking and countering online misinformation around a range of topics – including COVID-19 and the 2020 election.

Second, in partnership with COLab and the Colorado Sun, our #FollowTheMoneyCO collaboration will provide Colorado newsrooms with state-level campaign finance data, along with access to coaching and support on how to use it to localize coverage throughout the Election 2020 season.

More information on these opportunities is in this announcement: https://coloradomediaproject.com/blog/2020/3/17/colorado-collaborations-announcement
