Research evidence from almost 200 countries shows asymmetries between international human rights norms, and media industry practice as far gender equality and women’s rights to freedom of expression and opinion are concerned. The event will enable constructive engagement between news organisations, social media content regulators (Meta Inc) and civil society on how these rights could be secured.
