Monologue & Performance Workshops
Milwaukee Repertory Theater is excited to offer a series of FREE acting and performance workshops for teens from October through December 2022! These workshops will give students an opportunity to learn character development, auditioning techniques, monologue performance techniques, and more. Milwaukee Rep is currently leading two different workshop series:
  • Monday Night NNMC Workshops will take place at Milwaukee Repertory Theater every Monday night at 5:00-6:30pm from October 17 to December 19 (no class on 11/21 to observe Thanksgiving week). 
  • Saturday Afternoon NNMC Workshops will take place at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center (MYAC) in partnership with First Stage every Saturday from 1:30-3:00pm from October 15 to December 17 (no class on 11/26 to observe Thanksgiving week). 
Join the workshops at any time in the series! These workshops will focus on skills to develop a monologue in preparation for Next Narrative™ Monologue Competition auditions on January 3, 2023. Workshops are open to all high school students. Participants are invited, but NOT required, to audition for the Next Narrative Monologue Competition on January 3, 2023.  The Next Narrative Monologue Competition is a national program open to all high school students and featuring the work of contemporary Black playwrights. To learn more about the competition, please visit www.MilwaukeeRep.com/NNMC.
