Beacons Cymru – Junior Project Officer (2 x Freelance Roles Available)
Term: 4 Months @ 12 Hours per week [Flexible]
Wage: £10 per hour

We’re looking for two passionate, ambitious and creative young people (aged 18-25 years old) to join the Beacons Cymru team.

You’ll shape the future of the music industry across Wales for Young People.

You’ll get to help young people learn and grow on their music and creative journey.

You’ll be a natural collaborator, working with professionals from across Wales to curate, develop and deliver our flagship music industry conference for young people by young people: SUMMIT


Role Responsibility

This project is entirely youth driven, and there may be avenues or opportunities to explore that were not initially envisaged. You will:
 
·         Contribute ideas towards the BEACONS SUMMIT strategy.
·         Contribute towards the marketing and content strategy for BEACONS: SUMMIT.
·         Plan and co-ordinate events for BEACONS: SUMMIT.
·         Respond to general enquiries.
·         You will work alongside the Beacons team.
·         Work alongside a range of young freelancers who will all help shape the direction of SUMMIT

What Are We Looking For?

The successful candidates will be passionate about music or the creative industries. They will also be able to demonstrate the following;

·         Generate good ideas on how to promote Beacons and ensure it is accessible
·         Be keen to learn new skills
·         Work well within a team, in this new digital environment.
·         Be good at communicating ideas to others
·         Be honest and trustworthy
·         Be well organised
·         Must be between the ages of 18-25 and be living within Wales.


Package Description

For this role:

Welsh language skills are not necessary

Applications may be submitted in Welsh, and an application submitted in Welsh will not be treated more or less favourably than an application submitted in English.

This role will be flexible working of 12 hours per week for an initial 4 months. You will need to commit to designated weekly meeting times, which will be agreed upon appointment.
