AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is an academic program designed to increase school-wide learning and performance. AVID builds a sense of belonging that helps students feel connected inside and outside the classroom. AVID students are students who have a desire to go to college and beyond. The AVID elective is a class that provides social and academic support as well as academic monitoring and tutoring.

 Interacting with guest speakers

 Improve academic skills and overall success

 WICOR (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization and Reading) based lessons

Students will:
 Bring a strong work ethic to AVID

 Complete their assignments and do their best in all of their classes

 Maintain positive attendance and classroom behavior

 Maintain a minimum of a 2.5 GPA or higher

 Demonstrate strong work habits and citizenship on campus and in the community
