New Moon is a sex worker-led nonprofit organization looking to fund the good work our community members are doing to advance the rights and welfare of people in the sex trade. To that end, we invite sex worker-led, US-based organizations with 501(c)3 status (or 501(c)3 fiscally-sponsored projects) to apply for a one time grant of $1,000.
Please note: this is not ongoing monthly funding; this is a one-time grant. New Moon may, at its discretion, decide to fund a single organization more than once per year, depending on funding availability and need.
New Moon is able to fund:
- Groups with 501(c)3 non-profit status, or 501(c)3 fiscal sponsorship.
We require 501c3 verification via IRS 501(c)3 Designation Letter and/or Fiscal Sponsor reference. Groups must operate in the U.S. or Puerto Rico.
New Moon is unable to fund:- Individuals without
active 501(c)3 fiscal sponsorship
- Groups operating outside the U.S.
- Groups without active 501(c)3 non-profit status or 501(c)3 fiscal sponsorship
- Lobbying activities
The New Moon Fund staff and Advisory Board will review microgrant applications each month. Please see the New Moon Fund website for a schedule of monthly grant deadlines. Funds will be distributed approximately 30 days after Notice of Funding Award letter is sent.
New Moon prioritizes projects that:
- Are poised to catalyze positive change for people in the sex trade.
- Address basic needs and wellbeing for people in the sex trade.
